Ibrahim Mahama gifts Xenophobia victim GH¢200,000 seed capital
Accra — Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama has extended financial support to Emmanuel Asamoah, a victim of recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
Mr. Mahama has offered GH¢200,000 as seed capital to help Mr. Asamoah rebuild his life and establish a business in Ghana after returning home.
The gesture comes amid growing concerns over the safety of Ghanaians living in South Africa, following renewed reports of xenophobic violence targeting foreign nationals.
The support is expected to provide a fresh start for the victim while highlighting the role of private individuals in assisting affected citizens during difficult times.
The development has been widely welcomed, with many calling for continued support for Ghanaians returning home due to safety concerns abroad.
