In a Facebook post, Nana Otu Darko urged eligible citizens to join the NDC and participate in the membership registration exercise, which runs from February to March 30, 2026. He emphasized the importance of securing an NDC Membership ID Card, stating, “NOD, Deputy National Communication Officer (Hopeful), encourages all eligible citizens to JOIN THE NDC NOW. Visit an NDC branch near you and get registered from February to March 30, 2026. Secure your NDC Membership ID Card immediately. Act now and become part of the National Democratic Congress!”

Nana Otu Darko, a prominent voice on Accra 100.5 FM, has been a vocal critic of various governments, particularly the erstwhile New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration. His decision to contest in the NDC’s national executive elections has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many supporters praising his move into active politics.

The NDC’s internal reorganisation process is scheduled to begin with membership registration, followed by branch executive elections, constituency primaries in April 2026, regional executive elections in May 2026, and national executive elections in June 2026.
