Labour Leader Warns NDC Risks 2028 Defeat Over Internal Challenges

Accra — The Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour, Abraham Koomson, has cautioned that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) risks losing power in the 2028 general elections despite its current strong mandate.

Speaking on the party’s internal dynamics, Mr. Koomson attributed the potential setback to growing internal greed, neglect of grassroots supporters, and early succession politics, which he said are gradually weakening the party from within.

He warned that these issues, if not addressed, could erode the party’s political advantage and undermine its chances in future elections.

Mr. Koomson further urged party leadership to refocus on unity, discipline, and grassroots engagement, stressing that maintaining public trust and internal cohesion will be critical to sustaining electoral success.
