GES Interdicts Bole SHS Teacher Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct
The Ghana Education Service has interdicted a teacher at Bole Senior High School after a viral video allegedly showed misconduct involving a student.
Bole, Savannah Region — The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher of Bole Senior High School following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student. The decision comes after a video purportedly showing inappropriate conduct between the teacher and a student surfaced on social media.
In a statement issued on June 16, 2026, GES said it had initiated investigations to establish the facts surrounding the incident. Pending the outcome of the investigation, the teacher has been interdicted in accordance with the Service’s rules and regulations.
The Service strongly condemned all forms of inappropriate relationships between teachers and students, stressing that such conduct is unacceptable and violates the ethical standards expected of education professionals. GES reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on sexual misconduct and urged all staff to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
GES further assured parents, guardians, and the public of its commitment to protecting the safety, welfare, and well-being of students across the country. The Service stated that any individual found culpable after investigations would face the appropriate disciplinary and legal sanctions.
