2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers: Inaki Williams returns to Black Stars squad for Angola, Niger games
Inaki Williams has been included in Black Stars squad for the first two games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Athletic Bilbao striker was left out of Ghana's squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic in June due to a foot injury.
Despite the absence of the experienced forward, the Black Stars recorded back-to-back wins in the two games.
However, after a successful foot surgery and after featuring in Athletic Bilbao's La Liga opener against Getafe last weekend, Inaki has been named in the squad for the games.
The Black Stars will host the Palancas Negras at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5 before travelling to play Niger on September 9.
Meanwhile, Otto Addo has submitted his squad for the first two games to the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as revealed by Footballghana.com.
Footballghana.com also understand that no Ghana Premier League player has been included in the squad for the games.
The Black Stars are aiming to secure one of the top two spots in Group F to qualify for the AFCON tournament, which will take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
