Ghana coach Otto Addo hints of future Black Stars call-up for midfielder Michael Baidoo
The head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has indicated that he is monitoring in-form midfielder Michael Baidoo.
The IF Elfsborg midfielder has been in impressive form in Sweden where he has established himself as one of the key players in his team.
Baidoo scored the only goal for IF Elfsborg on Thursday night when the team secured a narrow victory against AS Roma in the Europa League.
Asked about the continuous neglect of Michael Baidoo in his call-up on Friday, Ghana coach Otto Addo noted that he is keeping an eye on the talented youngster.
He described the player as an excellent forward, hinting that he could be handed a call-up soon.
“He is on our radar. We are in touch. Michael Baidoo is an excellent striker and we will see what will happen in the future. At the moment, this is what we think. Inaki, Semenyo are scoring so to be honest I think the Premier League is a bit tougher. He is a good striker so we will see what will happen in the future,” Coach Otto Addo.
After naming his 25-man squad for the Black Stars today, Coach Otto Addo is expected to plan with his technical team on how to pick six points from the doubleheader against Sudan this month.
The two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches will be played on October 10 and October 15.
