It's going to be emotional - Jordan Ayew on returning to face Crystal Palace
Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has shared his thoughts on returning to face his former club Crystal Palace for the first time since joining Leicester City during the summer transfer window.
Ayew, who spent six years at Selhurst Park, is set to play against his former teammates in what promises to be an emotional encounter.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Black Stars striker acknowledged the mixed feelings surrounding his return but emphasized his commitment to Leicester City.
“It will be strange because I was there for six years, and it was my home. Obviously, I’m going to meet a lot of people who I didn’t get to say goodbye to properly, and it’s going to be emotional, but I have to defend my new colours,” Ayew told LCFC.
Ayew made it clear that once the game begins, his focus will be on securing a positive result for his new club. “When the game starts, I have no friends until after the game. I’m going to make sure that we get three points or at least one, and perform well as a team to keep our fans happy,” he added.
The striker also highlighted the importance of the match for Leicester City's confidence as they aim to secure their first away victory or a crucial draw.
