GFZA Partners with Gutsy Women Foundation in Nationwide Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign

Accra, May 2, 2025 — In a significant step toward fostering youth empowerment and public health, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, welcomed Ms. Raynelle Nana Yaa Boadu, CEO of the Gutsy Women Foundation, during a courtesy visit focused on an upcoming national Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Gutsy Women Foundation, aims to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and inspire young people across Ghana to make informed, healthy choices. During the meeting, Ms. Boadu outlined the campaign’s goals and underscored the pressing need for synergy between public institutions and private organizations to combat the growing threat of substance abuse among Ghana’s youth.
Dr. Awusi praised the Foundation’s commitment to social change and noted that the campaign resonates deeply with the GFZA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, especially in the areas of youth development, education, and public health.
“As a development-focused agency, we at GFZA believe that economic advancement must go hand-in-hand with the well-being of our communities,” Dr. Awusi stated. She further expressed openness to exploring partnership opportunities that would help expand the campaign’s impact nationwide.
The visit marked a promising beginning to what both parties hope will be a transformative collaboration in promoting a drug-free future for Ghana’s next generation.
