This agreement is poised to improve cooperation in transit, the free movement of people and goods, trade liberalization, and the establishment of a common special economic zone.
The Gambia and Senegal have also solidified their commitment to bolstering their economic, trade, and investment sectors through a cooperation agreement. This memorandum of understanding was formalized during the inaugural edition of the Economic Trade and Investment Forum in Dakar.
Mahama's visit is expected to further enhance the bond between The Gambia, Senegal, and Ghana, promoting regional integration and cooperation.
