Here we go! Alvaro Arbeloa signs as Real Madrid head coach
Álvaro Arbeloa is the new head coach of Real Madrid! He replaces Xabi Alonso, who left the position after just 7 months due to poor performances and internal discord.
Arbeloa, a former Real Madrid player, has been coaching the B team since June 2025 and has a wealth of experience in the club's youth academy.
As a player, Arbeloa won eight titles with Real Madrid, including two Champions League trophies and one La Liga title. He also won the 2010 World Cup with Spain. Arbeloa's first match as head coach will be against Albacete in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.
