The journey began on a high note as Cedar Stars topped Group 2 in the Gothia Puma Trophy (B17), setting the stage for a thrilling knockout phase. In the round of 16 and quarterfinals, they demonstrated their prowess by defeating IFK Göteborg (Sweden) 3-2 and Cantolao AD (Peru) 6-2, respectively.

Though their semi-final match against ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast) ended in a narrow 2-1 loss, the team's spirit remained unbroken. The players' determination and teamwork earned them a well-deserved third-place finish.
