Church of Pentecost Launches New Hospital in Bolgatanga

The Church of Pentecost has officially opened a modern hospital in Bolgatanga, located in Ghana’s Upper East Region. This initiative is part of the church’s broader mission to improve healthcare services in areas that lack adequate medical facilities. The Bolgatanga hospital is one of five new health centers being established by the church across the country, highlighting its dedication to comprehensive community development.
During the inauguration ceremony, the church’s Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, spoke to local leaders and attendees about the church’s role in national progress. He emphasized that the church’s mission goes beyond spiritual outreach; it actively collaborates with government entities and various organizations to promote socio-economic growth in Ghana.
Apostle Nyamekye noted, “Currently, the Church of Pentecost manages an extensive network of 12 healthcare facilities, which includes four hospitals and eight clinics, serving over 234,516 outpatients each year. With a dedicated team of 1,199 staff members, these facilities provide essential medical care to our communities. At present, five more health centers, including a specialized hospital in Accra, are nearing completion. In 2024 alone, the church generously allocated GH₵ 10,729,795.98 to support healthcare initiatives for its members at different levels.”
In addition to healthcare, the church is making significant investments in other sectors such as education, water and sanitation, agriculture, skills development, and security improvement projects. In education, for instance, the church operates 109 schools, which consist of 104 basic schools, four Senior High Schools, and one university. Notably, in 2024, the church invested GH₵ 17,186,903.75 to support the educational aspirations of its members.
