NDC’s Alhaji Abdul Wahab Arrested Over Alleged Threats to Key Political Figures

Akwatia, Eastern Region — September 2025 — The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested Alhaji Abdul Wahab, the NDC Communications Officer for Abuakwa North, after a viral video surfaced in which he allegedly threatened Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Majority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh, and NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye.
Police say the alleged threats are linked to rising political tensions surrounding the Akwatia by-election.
Alhaji Wahab has been cautioned and granted bail, and authorities report that he will continue to assist with the ongoing investigation.
