Daddy Lumba Candlelight Vigil Slated for August 2 — Creative Art Agency Confirms

JHNews || Accra, Ghana — The Creative Arts Agency (CAA) has officially announced that a National Candlelight Vigil in honor of the late Ghanaian highlife music legend, Daddy Lumba, will be held on Friday, 2nd August 2025, at Independence Square, Accra.
The vigil will run from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, forming part of a broader global tribute scheduled to take place concurrently in countries including Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Netherlands.
In a formal invitation signed by Mr. Gideon Aryeequaye, the Acting Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency, the event was described as a “solemn and inspirational moment” to honor the legacy of a national icon and celebrate the unifying power of music, culture, and community.
Attendees are urged to RSVP by 31st July 2025 to confirm their participation.
