Daddy Lumba’s Final Farewell Set for December 6 in Kumasi
JHNews || Ghana is preparing to bid a grand farewell to highlife icon Daddy Lumba on December 6 in Kumasi. The event will bring together generations of fans, musicians, and leaders to honor a legend whose music defined eras but whose death still feels too soon.

The family of late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba) has officially announced that his final funeral rites will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
Daddy Lumba, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at Bank Hospital in Accra following a brief illness, will be honored with a national tribute befitting his stature in Ghana’s music history.
The funeral program is being organized by the Fosu family, DL FM, and the Creative Arts Agency (CAA), in collaboration with government agencies.
Organizers have extended an open invitation to fans, musicians, dignitaries, and the general public to attend the event and pay respects.
