JHNews || Akosua Serwaa, claiming to be the only surviving spouse of the late highlife legend, is seeking a court declaration confirming her sole right to perform widowhood rites and oversee funeral arrangements.

Her Ladyship Justice Dorinda Smith Arthur of the Kumasi High Court has urged the feuding parties — Akosua Serwaa and Priscilla Ofori, popularly known as Odo Broni — to seek an amicable resolution to their dispute over the funeral arrangements of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba.
During proceedings on October 16, 2025, Justice Smith Arthur advised both sides to “settle it at home” — but hinted that if all efforts failed, the matter would be decided “in the jungle of the courtroom.”
The case, which has attracted national attention, has been adjourned to October 28, 2025.
