State Funeral for Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings Scheduled for November 28

The Government of Ghana, under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, has announced a state funeral for the late Former First Lady, Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Independence Square in Accra.
According to a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications and Spokesperson to the President, the funeral will honor Mrs. Rawlings’ outstanding contributions to women’s rights, child welfare, and national development.
Mrs. Rawlings, a pioneer of the 31st December Women’s Movement, is celebrated for her decades of activism, which reshaped gender empowerment and civic participation in Ghana.
