Former Energy Minister Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a statement dated 30th September 2025, Agyarko said his decision followed broad consultations with family, close associates, and party faithful who urged him to step forward.
“I see it as my bounden duty to respond to this call to duty,” Agyarko noted, emphasizing that the appeal from grassroots members and stakeholders within and outside the party convinced him to enter the race.
His announcement positions him among the leading contenders expected to shape what promises to be a fiercely competitive internal contest when nominations are officially opened.
