Five Aspirants File Nominations for NPP Presidential Primary

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that five aspirants have officially filed their completed nomination forms to contest the party’s upcoming presidential primary. The submissions were received by the Presidential Elections Committee as of Thursday, August 28, 2025.

The list of aspirants includes:

1. Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
2. Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong
3. Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong
4. H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
5. Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum

Nominations were officially opened on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, by the General Secretary on behalf of the National Council, inviting eligible party members to contest for the presidential candidate slot.

The Presidential Elections Committee has reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, credible, and fair process in accordance with the party’s Constitution and Regulations.

The NPP remains focused on upholding democratic principles and ensuring the integrity of its internal electoral procedures.
