LilWin laments being sidelined despite ranking among the top 5 Ghanaian artistes with exceptional stage performances.

Kumawood actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lilwin, has voiced his frustration over the lack of recognition for his musical talents. According to him, it’s time to celebrate himself since Ghanaians have failed to do so.

In an interview with Papadat on Lawson FM, Lilwin confidently described himself as a musical gem, lamenting that despite his contributions and achievements in the music industry, he has been sidelined by key players.

“I’m doing extremely well as a musician, but unfortunately, the industry keeps ignoring me,” he said, highlighting his efforts in entertainment beyond acting.

Lilwin attributed his inability to win awards, especially at the prestigious TGMA, to favoritism within the industry. He criticized the awards system, describing it as one based on connections rather than merit.

“Instead of awarding entertainers who genuinely deserve it, organizers focus on those they know personally. That’s the real issue with our industry,” he remarked.

The versatile entertainer also emphasized his skills as a performer, stating that it’s impossible to list five top Ghanaian musicians who excel on stage without including his name.
