TAKE DECISIVE ACTION TO CURB VANDALISM BY NDC THUGS- MINORITY URGES PRESIDENT MAHAMA

The Minority in Parliament is urging President John Dramani Mahama to take decisive action to curb vandalism ongoing in the country by NDC thugs.

Addressing journalists in parliament, deputy minority leader, Hon. Patricia Appiagyei again urged the President to do the needful by instructing law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute individuals responsible for acts of thuggery and violence following the elections.

According to the Minority, the establishment of the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) committee by the President has allegedly emboldened some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to engage in acts of vandalism, including the destruction of state property and attacks on state institutions.

Hon. Patricia Appiagyei, further added the President has a solemn responsibility to ensure the protection of all citizens.

This comes at the back of an earlier call by the minority in parliament on 4th January, 2025
that despite their Flagbearer Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia conceding defeat within 14 hours of the close of polls, the NDC thugs allegedly acting under the authority of Kofi Totobi Quakyi and Lt.Col Larry Gbevlo Lartey have continued to terrorize appointees of the NPP government and further revealed alleged plans to intensify these violent acts after President-Elect John Dramani Mahama is sworn into office.
