Pure Water Price Set to Hit GH¢15 per Bag from April 6
Accra — The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced an upward adjustment in sachet water prices, with a maximum retail price of GH¢15 per bag set to take effect from April 6, 2026.
According to the association, the price increase is driven by rising production costs, particularly due to a global shortage of polymers linked to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Under the new pricing structure:
- Ex-factory price is set at GH¢8 per bag
- Ex-truck price at GH¢10 per bag
- Maximum retail price at GH¢15 per bag
NASPAWAP noted that the adjustment is necessary to sustain production and ensure continuous supply of safe drinking water across the country.
The development is expected to impact consumers nationwide, as sachet water—commonly known as “pure water”—remains a primary source of drinking water for many households.
