Addressing journalists in parliament during a press conference, Ranking member on parliament's health committee and MP for Effiduase-Asokore Hon. Dr. Nana Afriyie Ayew  criticized Government over the delay in commisioning the completed facility with its equipment merely due to politics.

The lawmaker further stated the facility was strategically sited to offer services to children in Greater Accra, Central Region and others.

With unemployed health  officers and cry for employment, commissioning the facility immediately will serve the clients, offer working opportunities for young officers.
The minority in parliament called on the Government to do the needful for the people.

On the alleged unreasonable prices of equipment and Government -Contractor banter, the Minority says the Government is using it to paint the NPP black, but there’s nothing strange since the project went through procurement processes before its expansion of scope.
Dr Afriyie dared the Health Minister and Government to show to Ghanaians same equipment claimed to have been inflated.
