Adom-Otchere and Two Others Detained Over GACL Contract Probe as Bail Conditions Remain Unmet

JHNews || Accra, Ghana – The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has formally charged former Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Board Chairman Paul Adom-Otchere and two other officials in connection with an ongoing investigation into a controversial revenue assurance contract.
Mr. Adom-Otchere remains in custody after failing to meet his bail conditions, which require him to present two landed properties registered in his name. He has informed the OSP that he does not own any landed property in Ghana, a situation that has delayed his release.
The other individuals charged are Otchere Kwame Baffour Awuah, Group Executive of Commercial Services at GACL, and Albert Adjetey Adjei-Laryea, CEO of Devnest Systems.
The investigation centers on a revenue assurance contract between GACL and a private firm linked to the proprietor of Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML). The OSP is probing potential procurement breaches, including allegations that the contract was sole-sourced to a company other than the one approved by the GACL Board.
The OSP has indicated that investigations are ongoing.
