27 Year Old Spiritualist Arrested Over Alleged Attempt to Abduct 11 Year Old Girl at Ga South
A 27-year-old man known as “C Prof” has been apprehended by residents at Atiaa near Lamptey Mills after he was allegedly seen dragging an 11-year-old girl towards an uncompleted building believed to be his shrine.
Accra, August 17, 2026 — A 27-year-old spiritualist, identified only as “C Prof,” has been apprehended by residents of Atiaa near Lamptey Mills in the Ga South Municipality over an alleged attempt to abduct an 11-year-old girl for ritual purposes.
According to reports, the suspect was allegedly seen dragging the young girl towards an uncompleted building at about 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16. The structure is reportedly believed to be used by the suspect as a shrine.
Residents who noticed what was happening reportedly intervened, rescued the girl and restrained the suspect before handing him over to the authorities.
Human skeletal remains reportedly found
Following the apprehension, residents reportedly searched the suspect’s belongings and allegedly discovered a bag containing what appeared to be human skeletal remains.
However, the identity, origin and circumstances surrounding the remains have not yet been established by investigators. Police are expected to conduct forensic examinations as part of the investigation.
The discovery has heightened concerns among residents, particularly regarding activities allegedly taking place at the uncompleted structure.
Police investigation underway
The suspect is currently expected to face further investigation into the alleged attempt to abduct the child, the circumstances surrounding the suspected human remains and the reported use of the structure as a shrine.
There had been no detailed official police statement on the case at the time of the latest reports reviewed, and the allegations against the suspect have not yet been tested in court.
The case has also renewed concerns about child safety and the need for communities to promptly report suspicious activities involving children to the appropriate authorities.
