WE WILL RESIST ANY ATTEMPT TO UNLAWFULLY REMOVE KPANDAI MP FROM PARLIAMENT THROUGH UNDUE PROCESS - MINORITY
The Minority in Ghana's parliament with a united front has vowed to resist any attempt to unlawfully remove their member of parliament for Kpandai constituency Hon. Matthew Nyindam from parliament through undue process.
Speaking to journalists in Parliament on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Minority Leader Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin expressed deep concerns about the Tamale High Court’s directive order for a rerun of the Kpandai parliamentary election.
The Efutu lawmaker described the court order as shameful and warning of its potential to undermine national stability. Which he said could set a dangerous precedent for electoral chaos.
The Minority Members of Ghana's Parliament are insisting that their Member of Parliament for Kpandai remind the legitimate and elected member and nothing will impede his function in the House.
They added until all appeal processes are exhausted, he will remain in the House and partake in the activities.
The High Court Bench occupied by Justice Emmanuel Part- Plange Brew hearing the petitioner challenging some 41 polling stations in the 2024 Parliamentary Elections which saw Hon. Matthew Nyindam as MP for the area.
The judge sitting at Tamale High Court ruled that the entire constituency should be re-ran.
