JHNews || Accra, September 7, 2025 — The government has officially relaunched National Sanitation Day under the Clean Ghana Agenda, with President John Dramani Mahama urging citizens to recommit to building a cleaner and healthier nation.

As part of the renewed campaign, Hon. Akwetey Agbo, working in collaboration with the Ga North Municipal Assembly (GNMA), led a major cleanup exercise across the Nii Ankraman Electoral Area. The exercise was supported by Assembly Member Hon. Richard Osei, GNMA staff, and hundreds of community volunteers.

Participants desilted drains, swept streets, and cleared waste from public spaces. Hon. Agbo emphasized that sanitation must be embraced as a collective duty rather than an occasional activity.

“This exercise is a bold reminder that sanitation is everyone’s responsibility. A cleaner environment leads to healthier families, safer communities, and a brighter future for Ga North,” he said.

President Mahama, who relaunched the campaign on Saturday, stressed that the Clean Ghana Agenda must go beyond symbolic activities to become a sustainable national culture.
