The decision follows engagements between ECG officials in the Ashanti West Region and leadership of the 4th Infantry Battalion at Kwadaso.

According to ECG, the intervention will address faults along the “Complex feeder,” which supplies power to the military facility. Planned works include the replacement of weak components, repair of damaged poles, clearing of vegetation along power lines, and upgrading of undersized conductors.

The company noted that the Ashanti Military Command remains a critical national security installation and is prioritised in power restoration efforts during outages.

Commanding Officer of the unit, Lt. Col. Emmanuel Wumbiedow, welcomed the initiative, indicating that reliable electricity is crucial for effective military operations.

ECG says the upgrade forms part of its broader strategy to improve power reliability for key institutions across the country.
