NDC Sets November 14, 2026 for Regional Elections
JHNews || The NDC has scheduled its regional elections for November 14, 2026, aiming to give party members time to prepare and ensure inclusive participation as it builds toward its national congress.
Accra, Ghana — January 2026:
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially announced November 14, 2026 as the date for its regional elections as part of the party’s internal electoral calendar leading up to its national congress.
The decision was communicated to party members and stakeholders following consultations within the leadership structures, with the aim of ensuring adequate preparation, candidate vetting, and grassroots participation across all regions.
The regional elections will see delegates from across the country choosing leaders to represent the NDC at the regional level. Winners of these contests will play key roles in mobilisation, strategy, and preparation for the party’s national congress later in the year.
Officials say the timeline was chosen to allow ample time for campaigning, delegate education, and administrative arrangements, as the party continues to strengthen its organisational structures ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
