Kumasi, Ashanti Region — Students from the Suame Technical Institute have been accused of vandalising properties at the Baba Yara Stadium during a recent visit to the facility.
According to reports, a group of students allegedly engaged in destructive behaviour that led to damage to parts of the stadium, sparking outrage among sports authorities and the general public. The incident reportedly occurred when the students were at the stadium as part of an educational or recreational visit.
Eyewitnesses say several fixtures and fittings were damaged, prompting calls from community leaders and fans for disciplinary action against those responsible. Authorities are said to be investigating the matter and working to identify individuals involved in the alleged vandalism.
Officials from the Institute have not yet publicly commented on the situation, but stakeholders are urging the school’s management to cooperate with security officials and ensure that appropriate sanctions are applied to deter future misconduct.
