Tension in NPP: General Secretary Threatens NPP UK Chairman at National Council Meeting

A dramatic scene unfolded at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Council meeting on January 2, 2025, when the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, reportedly threatened the NPP UK Chairman, popularly known as Wofa K. According to eyewitnesses, while members of the council were exchanging pleasantries, Wofa K approached Kodua Frimpong to greet him. However, instead of a warm response, he was met with hostility. The General Secretary is alleged to have told him:

“I will deal with you! I will let you know that I’m the General Secretary of the Party. I will make sure you are our out of position as NPP UK Chairman and also vehemently deal with you!”

He further lamented that despite the UK Branch’s donation of two pick-up vehicles to support the campaign, they were not provided with a single car for their own operations.

Many believe Justin Kodua Frimpong saw these remarks as an attack on his leadership and used the National Council meeting as an opportunity for retaliation. His aggressive posture at the gathering is now being interpreted as an act of vengeance following the party’s painful loss in the 2024 general elections.
