CAGD Confirms Delay in November Allowance Payments After Technical Hitch
JHNews || The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department says a technical challenge has delayed two types of allowances for November 2025. The affected payments mainly for education sector workers.
Accra, Ghana — November 25, 2025:
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced a delay in the payment of two categories of allowances scheduled for November 2025, citing a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Department noted that the affected allowances—particularly those due to workers in the education sector—could not be processed without risking further delays in the overall November payroll for government workers.
To prevent disruptions in the timely release of November salaries, the CAGD said the allowances were temporarily paused, assuring all affected staff that the issue is currently being addressed.
The Department further disclosed that the outstanding allowances will be paid together with December salaries on 18th December 2025.
CAGD expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and thanked workers for their patience as the issue is resolved.
