EC Sets December 30, 2025 for Parliamentary Rerun in Kpandai Constituency
JHNews || Parliament’s notification and the EC’s scheduling of the rerun show that the Kpandai seat controversy is nearing closure — but with the new date set, all eyes are on whether the rerun will bring stability or reignite contestation.
Accra, Ghana — The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has announced that the rerun election for the New Patriotic Party (NPP)-held Parliament of Ghana seat for the Kpandai Constituency will be held on Tuesday, 30 December 2025. The rerun comes after a court annulled the 2024 election results following legal challenges over procedural irregularities.
The EC’s timetable outlines that political parties must complete candidate nominations by the end of this month, while voter-registration updates and special polling arrangements will begin in early December. Officials hope the rerun will settle lingering disputes and ensure a representative outcome for constituents.
