Accra, October 31, 2025 — President John Dramani Mahama has ordered the immediate termination of all contracts between the Government of Ghana and Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) following the completion of an investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

The OSP’s probe reportedly uncovered serious concerns regarding the legality, transparency, and value-for-money aspects of the agreement, which was initially signed under the previous administration to monitor petroleum revenue and ensure compliance in the downstream sector.
