Multiple Fatalities in Serious Accident Near Yamoransa
A midday collision near Yamoransa involving a rice-laden truck and a passenger minibus has resulted in five deaths and 12 injuries. Emergency services are treating the injured, while the drivers of the truck remain unhurt. Authorities are urging caution on the highway.

A tragic road accident at Wakrom Junction near Yamoransa on the Cape Coast–Accra Highway has left five people dead and 12 others injured.
The crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. when a DAF truck fully loaded with 700 bags of rice (registration AW 9548-13) collided with a Toyota Hiace minibus (GC 9728-21).
Rescue teams from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Central Regional Headquarters were dispatched at about 2:45 p.m. and arrived on the scene shortly after. They found several victims trapped in the wreckage.
Eyewitnesses and good samaritans had already rescued some of the injured before the GNFS arrived. Four of the extracted victims were later pronounced dead at the hospital, one is in critical condition, and others are being treated at local health centres.
The driver and the mate of the truck reportedly escaped without injuries.
Authorities have called for heightened road safety, particularly on this highway stretch, which has seen numerous accidents.
