Police Arrest Fante Comedy, Sir Obam And Two Others Over Illegal Arms, False Claims on Helicopter Crash

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Daniel Adomako, popularly known on social media as Sir Obama Pokuse, in an intelligence-led operation targeting illegal possession and display of sophisticated weapons.

According to police, Adomako’s arrest follows the circulation of images and videos on social media allegedly showing individuals brandishing these weapons. The operation, conducted in collaboration with other security agencies, has also led to the retrieval of a significant cache of illegal arms and ammunition.

In a related development, three other suspects — Prince Ofori, Yayra Abiwum, and Emmanuel Kwaku — have been taken into custody. They are assisting investigations into threats of death and the publication of false information following last week’s military helicopter crash.

Police say the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks, curb the proliferation of illegal weapons, and safeguard public safety.
