POST BUDGET WORKSHOPS ENHANCES UNDERSTANDING OF GOVERNMENT'S FINANCIAL POLICIES- SPEAKER BAGBIN
Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has charged Members of Parliament to make judicious use the Post budget workshop to enhance their understanding of government's policy outlook for the 2025 financial year.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the post budget workshop held in the over the weekend, he added this he believes will help them make meaningful contributions to the approval of the estimates and appropriations and most importantly, educating their constituents on the economic outlook as formulated by government.
Speaker Bagbin emphasized the importance of MPs being well-versed in budgetary matters, highlighting their responsibility to advocate for the needs of their constituents and contribute to national development.
The Speaker of the House reiterated that understanding of the national budget will help MPs to be equipped to make informed decisions that benefit their constituencies and the nation as a whole.
The workshop, which was held at Parliament House, is designed to empower MPs with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage effectively in discussions and decision-making regarding the national budget.
Participants will gain valuable insights into budget analysis, fiscal policies, and the critical role of Parliament in ensuring financial accountability and transparency.
