Resurrection Power New Generation Church Faces administration Dispute Over Accountability
Youth of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church staged a protest during Sunday service, accusing the post-Boakye leadership led by his children of sidelining pastors, refusing accountability for two years, and selling church property.

JHNews || Accra, September 7, 2025 — Tensions erupted at the Resurrection Power New Generation Church today as youth members staged a protest during church service, accusing the current administration of mismanagement and lack of accountability.
The youth alleged that following the death of the church’s founder and leader, Rev. Dr. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, the administration forcibly assumed control and sidelined some senior leaders and pastors by stripping them of positions they held during the founder’s tenure.
According to the protesters, leadership of the church is now dominated by the late founder’s children, who they accuse of refusing to render financial accounts for more than two years a practice they say Rev. Boakye observed faithfully when alive. The administration has also been accused of selling church lands and properties without accountability.
The demonstrators claim the current leaders have instead been demanding accountability from other branches while neglecting transparency at the headquarters.
The youth vowed to continue their demonstrations until the administration addresses their concerns. “We want them to know we are serious about the accountability issue that they have turned a deaf ear to,” a protester said.
