YOU WILL BE DISGRACED FURTHER IF YOU APPEAL- HARUNA IDDRISU TO MAJORITY AND ATTORNEY GENERAL ON AMBULANCE CASE
The Minority in Parliament is celebrating the Court of Appeal’s acquittal of its leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson in the ongoing ambulance trial ater a 2-1 verdict. The decision which followed an appeal on the submission of no case filed by lawyers for Dr Cassiel Ato Forson brings an end to the saga which has dragged on for close to two years.
Reacting to Court of Appeal’s acquittal and discharge of the minority leader in parliament, former minority leader and MP for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu suggested that the Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame risks further disgrace if he attempts to appeal the decision of the Court of Appeal that has acquitted and discharged minority leader Cassiel Ato Forson.
Adding a voice to the lastest development, the majority leader of parliament and MP for Efutu Alexander Afenyo-Markin advised his colleagues on the other side of the House to not to create an impression that the Judicial Arm Of Government is being manipulated by the Executive Arm Of Government.
He stressed that the Judicial is an independent body and believe in fair rule and justice just as has been demonstrated. He congratulated the minority leader and further shared in his joy.
