52 Exceptional Students Receive Presidential Awards
Today, March 5, 2025, marked a momentous occasion as 52 outstanding students from across Ghana's 16 regions received the prestigious Presidential Awards for their exceptional academic achievements in the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination.
The awards ceremony, presented by H.E. the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, recognized students who demonstrated academic excellence in both public and private schools.
Established in 1993, the President's Independence Day Awards aim to:
- Reward Academic Excellence
-Recognize outstanding students in public and private schools.
- Promote Inclusive Education*: Encourage students with additional educational needs.
The selection criteria for the 2024 awards were based on raw scores obtained from the West Africa Examination Council. Two students from each region's public schools, one student from each region's private schools, and the national best students with visual and hearing impairments were awarded.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) ensured transparency and fairness in the selection process, making this achievement even more remarkable for the awardees.
We congratulate these exceptional students on their well-deserved recognition and wish them continued success in their academic pursuits!
