EC Reschedules Nomination Date for Nkoranza North and South District Elections

Accra, March 28, 2025 – The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced a new schedule for the receipt of nominations for the upcoming Nkoranza North and Nkoranza South District Level Elections, as well as by-elections for other vacant electoral areas.
The initial nomination period, which was set to begin on April 1, 2025, has been rescheduled following the declaration of that day as a public holiday by former President John Dramani Mahama. As a result, the Commission has moved the nomination window to Monday, April 7, 2025, through Thursday, April 10, 2025.
In a statement signed by Mr. Samuel Tettey, Deputy Chairman for Operations, the Commission assured that the venues and times for the receipt of nominations would remain unchanged.
The Electoral Commission has urged the public and all interested candidates to take note of the new dates accordingly.
