Former Parliamentary Candidate Appiah-Kubi Baidoo Resigns from New Patriotic Party

Sefwi Akontombra, Western North Region — A long-standing member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Appiah-Kubi Baidoo, has officially tendered his resignation from the party, citing years of mistreatment and neglect by the party’s leadership.

In a letter addressed to the Constituency Chairman of the Sefwi Akontombra Constituency, Baidoo expressed his disappointment over how he and his immediate family have been treated by the party. He revealed that despite numerous appeals, including formal written complaints to the National Executives, his concerns have remained unaddressed.

Baidoo, who served as District Chief Executive and contested three times as the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Akontombra, extended gratitude to the party for the opportunities he had been given. He also offered an unreserved apology to his supporters and sympathizers, acknowledging their unwavering loyalty over the past two decades.

He concluded the letter by wishing the NPP well in its future endeavors and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve.

Copies of the resignation letter were also sent to the NPP’s Regional Chairman for the Western North Region, the party’s General Secretary at the Head Office in Accra, and the media.
