Ghana’s Housing Minister Promotes Diaspora Investment at 2025 Property Expo in Philadelphia
Over the weekend, Ghana’s Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, participated in the 2025 Diaspora Property Expo held in Philadelphia, USA. The event, a key platform for fostering partnerships and promoting investment, focused on encouraging diaspora participation in Ghana’s booming real estate sector.
Speaking on the theme "Harnessing Ghana’s Real Estate & Investment Potential for The Diaspora", Hon. Adjei outlined the vast opportunities available in the country’s housing industry. He emphasized investment prospects in land development, construction, property management, and financing, encouraging Ghanaians abroad to take advantage of these openings.
The Minister further revealed that the government is set to roll out the District Housing Programme in the coming months. This initiative aims to expand housing access nationwide, offering members of the diaspora the opportunity to own homes in well-planned, gated communities within their hometowns. The project is expected to unlock valuable investment avenues for the private sector.
Additionally, Hon. Adjei highlighted the government's commitment to fostering international collaboration through public-private partnerships (PPPs). Under this framework, international investors and expatriates will be actively engaged in Ghana’s housing market, further boosting the sector's growth and accessibility.
The 2025 Diaspora Property Expo served as a crucial engagement for the government to attract diaspora investment, reinforcing Ghana’s position as a prime destination for real estate development.
