Ken Agyapong Expresses Sympathy Over Adum Market Fire, Pledges Support

Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong has expressed deep sorrow over the recent fire outbreak that destroyed several shops in Adum, the Central Business District of the Ashanti Region. In a statement, he extended his condolences to affected traders and families, acknowledging the devastating impact of the incident.

Recognizing the struggles of business owners, Agyapong emphasized the need for stronger fire prevention measures. He urged the Ghana National Fire Service, the Police, and other security agencies to collaborate on long-term solutions to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Though currently out of the country, Agyapong has dispatched a team to assess the damage and provide support. He also assured victims that he will visit Adum upon his return to discuss recovery efforts with traders.

He encouraged residents of Kejetia, Adum, Dr. Mensah, and Roman Hill to remain hopeful, reaffirming his commitment to rebuilding and strengthening the affected community.
