KRACHI OIC ADP. CHRISTIAN ANYTATOR BOWS OUT FROM ACTIVE SERVICE

A Pull-Out and thanksgiving service has been held in honour of the Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of Kete-Krachi Local Prison, Christian Anyrato, as he retires after serving Prisons Service and mother Ghana for about 33 years. This took place on Friday 23rd May, 2025, at the Kete -Krachie Prisons in the Volta region.

ADP.  Christian Anyrato was recruited into the Ghana Prisons Service in November 1992 and passed out successfully as a Second Class Officer. He rose through the ranks and attained the Chief Officer rank in 2004. 

In November 2007, he had the opportunity to be enlisted as part of Officer Cadet Course Intake 20. He successfully graduated in May 2008 as an Assistant Superintendent of Prisons.

The Director of Prisons in charge of Administration Mr. Samuel Akolbire who doubles as the Director in charge of Volta/Oti in a speech given on behalf of the Director General  of Prisons ( Mrs. Patience Baffoe -Bonnie ESQ ) congratulated the outgoing officer for his sacrifice and dedication rendered to the Service for many years. He said the service and the community will always remember him for his good deeds.

DOP. Akolbire mentioned that the service has started implementing new initiatives aimed at agriculture development, commercialization and also industrialization to be able to feed inmates and officers as well as the whole country, and called on various stakeholders to open their arms to the Service anytime their assistance is required.

The Volta/Oti Regional Commander DDP. Edward Ashun also expressed appreciation to the outgoing OIC for his hard work, determination and sacrifice to the Service.  He commended him for the numerous developmental projects he executed during his tenure as the OIC.

DDP.  Ashun  advised officers to take a cue from the out going OIC. He charged them to be disciplined, exhibit professionalism at all times and have respect authority .

ADP. Christian Anyrator expressed his appreciation to all officers and advised them to be respectful and desist from always waiting for someone to notify them before they do the right thing.

Citations and gifts were presented to the celebrant from the Ghana Prisons Service, Kete Krachi Local Prison, Recruit and Cadet Mates, Regional Security Council (REGSEC) family members, friends among others.
