President John Dramani Mahama has nominated his first batch of regional ministers, submitting the names of 10 individuals to Parliament for approval. The nominees hail from various regions, bringing a diverse range of expertise and experience to the table.

The Nominees Are:

  • Northern Region: Ali Adolf John, an education professional with a strong background in the Ghana Education Service.
    - Oti Region: John Kwadwo Gyapong, a business executive and former Member of Parliament.
    - Volta Region: James Gunu, a veteran media practitioner with extensive experience in journalism and local governance.
    - Eastern Region: Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, a distinguished leader with expertise in governance, education, and community development.
    - North-East Region: Ibrahim Tia, a public health finance and local government professional with a strong track record in systems management and health financing.
    - Ashanti Region: Dr. Frank Amoakohene, a medical professional and youth leader with expertise in healthcare, governance, and public service.
    - Upper East Region: Akamugri Donatus Atanga, a human rights advocate with experience in education and social studies.
    - Ahafo Region: Charity Gardiner, a businesswoman and human resource professional with a passion for non-profit work and girl child education.
    - Savannah Region: Salisu Be-Awuribe, a law lecturer and development expert with experience in valuation and local governance.
    - Greater Accra Region: Hon. Linda Ocloo, the Member of Parliament for Shai-Osudoku constituency, with a background in banking and finance.

These nominees will undergo parliamentary vetting and approval before taking office.
